What’s next?

Well, I’m getting married next week to a wonderful human who supports me and my art 💯. Every stride I’ve made of late is due in part to his support, and we’re both super stoked to see where life takes us individually and together!

Everyone, please meet my partner, Micky. He’s an English teacher 📝 and Irish trad musician from Belfast 🍀 We’re living in New Zealand 🇳🇿 at present, and we love it here! But we also can’t wait till the world opens up again 🌎🌏🌍

I have so much to show him and so many people to introduce him to in the states 🇺🇸 and he’s got all of his people in Australia 🇦🇺 and Ireland 🇨🇮 to introduce me to. The world is our oyster and we couldn’t be happier ❤️ …bliss is quite a space to be in when juxtaposed with the rest of 2020, but I’m learning that sometimes life is interesting like that 🤷🏻‍♀️☺️🤔

In the show department, Micky and I are blending our musical traditions and creating folk-inspired arrangements of new and old Science for Sociopaths material to be premiered at the Whangarei Folk Club on November 21st! Patrons! Let us know what you would most like access to in the lead up to this show: full rehearsal sessions? Select sneak peaks? Live-streams? Arrangement process? Let me know so I can factor in the creation of content that you enjoy!

Finally, the Fringe multi-discipline experiment was so well received – Finalist for Best of Fringe!!! – that we’re already in discussion with Auckland Fringe about bringing it down there in February. I would love to tour this show around New Zealand in 2021, featuring new collaborators and audience participation in every city to which we tour. More about that soon!

Musically yours,

Maggie
