After two years of immersion in folk music here in NZ I think I’m getting the hang of it!
Watch this impromptu opening set for Bill Angus. It’ll take a bit more experience yet to be fully comfortable in this genre, but damn this felt good! Even (or especially) due to a couple hours notice and a broken g string (that was passably replaced with a g string from an electric guitar)…rock and roll 🤟😂 The bar staff, audience and culture here is ace! Hastings, I’m a fan ♥️

New student; Tony has a strong baritone and natural musicianship. He wants to learn all the Jazz vocal standards! Tony is differently abled and has limited funds. He comes to mine for an hour+ each week. His goal is to sing with a band one day, but also to sing for fun and because it’s good for him. Subsidizing Tony costs $30/week.

She got in – Congratulations Christian! And is now seeking ongoing lessons in music theory and vocal coaching with Maggie Cocco Music. Subsidizing Christian’s lessons costs $220/month.
